How we work, and what it costs
Most parents want to know the price before they get on a call with someone. I'd rather you had it up front.
It also means we can spend our 45 minutes on your student instead of on logistics.
45 minutes, in four parts
We'll start together for a few minutes so I can hear where things stand.
Then I'll work through a physics problem with your student for about fifteen minutes. I'll ask you to step away for that part — students think more freely without a parent watching, and I need to see how they actually reason, not how they perform.
I'll bring you back in, take you both through exactly what I found, and we'll map out what the year should look like.
We'll finish with just the two of us, to talk through the options.
You'll leave with a written AP Physics Game Plan: where your student stands, the two or three things that matter most this year, a timeline through to the exam, and things you can start on this week — whether or not we end up working together.
Two things
- Have your student somewhere quiet, with paper and a pen. They'll be doing real physics for part of the call.
- Send me a photo of a recent test or quiz, if they've had one handed back. Seeing the marked work — particularly where points were lost — tells me more than almost anything else. Just reply to your confirmation email.
